Why Can't I Open a Position Even Though There Are Assets in My Account?
Some users may encounter an issue when engaging in contract trading: why can't I open a position even though there are assets in my account? This could be due to two reasons: frozen asset occupation and insufficient margin.
1. Frozen asset occupation: Assets in the user's trading account are used for other transactions, leading to freezing and preventing the opening of a position.
For example, if a user has 100 USDT in their trading account and places a limit order to buy BTC with 60 USDT in spot trading, that 60 USDT becomes frozen, and the user cannot use it to open a contract position.
Users can cancel the pending orders in spot trading or transfer USDT from another account to the trading account to open a position.
2. Insufficient margin: Contracts operate on a margin system, and there must be sufficient margin to open a position. If there are not enough coins in the account as margin, opening a position cannot be completed. As prices fluctuate, the required margin for opening a contract position also changes.
In such a situation, reducing the number of contracts opened or transferring more coins into the corresponding account will enable the opening of a position. For example, if the available number of contracts on the page is 100, you can choose to open 90 or 95 contracts. This not only reserves a range for price fluctuations but also allows for additional fees.
