9. 3DS Verification
3DS Verification (3-Domain Secure) is an internationally recognized online payment security authentication protocol, primarily used to verify the identity of credit or debit cardholders to prevent unauthorized use and fraudulent transactions.
Simply put, it is an additional security verification step used by banks during online payments to confirm that the transaction is being made by the cardholder themselves.
Currently, whenever 3DS verification is triggered — regardless of whether the transaction is successful or not — the issuing bank will charge a fee of **$0.03 per transaction**. This fee is incurred even if the transaction fails.
